  • Local artist signs her work.

Local artist Frances Peel called into the Market House at the beginning of June to sign the picture of the ploughing horses that she painted as part of her 'A' level Art course at the Assumption Grammar, Ballynahinch.

The picture now hangs in the Market House and is a beautiful example of the 'A' level theme which was 'power'.

She is currently home on holiday after completing first year university.
Vincent Fullam, Chairman of the Regeneration expressed his delight that BRC were able to acquire her painting for hanging in the Market House.
'It would be our intention of where possible to obtain pictures by local artists to begin a market House art collection. Frances is a very talented and very lovely young lady and we are pleased to be associated with her'.
