Three of the artists, Nicola Russell, Imelda Hume and Jim McDonald, whose works are part of the collection were also in attendance.

This is the second such exhibition to be staged at the Market House by. the same gallery and last January the 'Art Around the World' exhibition also attracted a great deal of local interest.

The music was provided by young members of the talented McCrickard Family who are no strangers to the Market House, and some light refreshments were also available.

The Main Hall is an excellent venue for events such as this, and the visitors were able to mingle with the artists and discuss the various works of art on display.

There are 45 paintings in all, covering a multitude of subjects and techniques such as pastels, oils and gouache and they were created by nine artists from very different backgrounds.

Gallery owner Gordon Kennedy says that this exhibition is only the tip of the iceberg and many more are planned for 2004. Click this link to view the Exhibition Catalogue
