    17th January, 2003 - Art Around the World
    Art Around the World, an exhibition by The McKee - Major House Galleries was held in the large hall at the Market House.   Nine artists from all over Europe exhibited their work.  These included exhibitors from the British Isles, Spain and also the former Soviet Union   more >>>

    25th January, 2003 - Burns Night
    There was a Burns Night held at the Market House organised by the Ballynahinch Cultural Society.  Scottish music, dancing, food and drink were all provided and the evening was well supported.   more >>>

    8th February, 2003 - Music From The Isle of Skye
    A night of music and song in the Gaelic tradition featuring Ann Martin and Ingrid Henderson.     Tickets are available from The Market House, Why not have a look at their Web Site

    16th - 18th March, 2003 - Visit by guests from Lamorlaye
    On Sunday,16th March we are expecting the arrival of fifty two people from Lamorlaye. This will be the first time they have seen the Market House since the re-opening last September. As usual a packed schedule of events is planned.   more >>>

    21st March, 2003 - CCTV Tenders Opened
    The tenders for the new CCTV system in Ballynahinch were opened at the Market House last week.     more >>>

    28th April, 2003 - District Council - Chairman's Awards Night
    Over 150 guests, including Councillors and Award Winners attended this event at the Market House.    more >>>

    28th May - 31st May, 2003 - Ballynahinch Community Festival
    The Festival Events were a great success and the beautiful weather brought out the crowds, young and old.    more >>>

    June, 2003 - Picture signed by local artist
    The beautiful picture of the two plough horses which is currently hanging in the Market House was recently signed by the artist.     more >>>

    28th June, 2003 - Exhibition at the Market House
    Local artists are holding an exhibition at the Market House which will run until Saturday, 28th June.     more >>>

    July, 2003 - French visitors here again
    Another party of French visitors arrived during the July holidays and had a look round County Down with the some of the twinning committee members.     more >>>

    7th August, 2003 - Celtic Fusion comes to Ballynahinch
    The Celtic Fusion Festival opened with a terrific concert in the Market House in Ballynahinch.    more >>>

    11th August, 2003 - Market House Summer Scheme

    19th September - 700 Years of Politics in Ballynahinch
    As part of the European Heritage Open Day on Friday the 19th of September, local historian Horace Reid gave a very infomative talk on the political history of the town. The event was attended by about 30 people from the local area and Horace is to be congratulated for always keeping it interesting and often amusing.

    10th October, 2003 - Art Exhibition in the Market House
    The Major House Gallery opened their second exhibition of fine art in the Market House on Friday 10th, October.   There are 45 works by 9 artists which will be displayed in the Main Hall until the 24th October. Admission is free.     more >>>

    October, 2003 - Local children visit Castle Espie
    A cross-community group of local children recently visited Castle Espie to welcome the Brent geese to their winter quarters. They created a beautiful mural of their visit.

    5th December, 2003 - Santa switches on the Christmas Lights
    The festive lights at the Market House and the Christmas tree on the Square were switched on by Santa last Friday Night (5th December).     more >>>

    11th December, 2003 - Twinning weekend in the Market House
    A group of local people, including school children from Ballynahinch will travel to Brussels on Thursday, 11th December. There will be a video link with the Market House at the weekend.     more >>>
